This was done for my final project in a drawing class. I took it as an independent study, so I could do practically what ever I wanted. In the end, I wanted to do a portrait.

I could see no other medium to accomplish this piece in other than water colour. As such, this is my first ever successful water colour portrait.

I fell in love with the picture as soon as I saw it. I love my version, just the same.

Time: More hours than I care to count over the course April and May.
Materials: Exclusively, water colours and 140 lb 22X24 Canson water colour paper.
