What's this? A painting from moi?!

It's not done, still got some stuff to do. But it's so close I can taste it!!

This is such a satisfying piece, because its a painting that's working and came mostly out of my head.

Inspired by many Tree of Life beliefs such as the kabalah and Celtic Tree of Life.

Trees are the closest thing in nature to ourselves... They are born from a seed, carried in a womb (earth), and grow over time.

The druids had very deep respect for trees.

And, now, so do I ^_^.

I'll put a complete version up, soon I hope.

Info: The bottom is supposed to represent outer space/night. Those are nebulas around the planet. The top is supposed to represent a rising sun from clouds, morning.

It's done with acrylic paint. And the stars were done with a toothbrush ^_^. Quite possibly the most fun out of the entire painting.

That's pretty bloody amazing. What will you add to it? It looks pretty finished...

If this painting is any indication, you have very good skills with painting. The detail and blending is very well done and I love the concept, being familiar with some of the tree of life myths myself.

Native Americans also hold trees in high regard as a connection to the heavens. Some hang their dead or rather, representations of the dead from the branches in an attempt to give them a leg up into the afterlife.

Well, I need to fix the light through the base of the trunk, and develop the roots and the planet more then they look here. After that it should be done ^_^. Thanks for the compliment!

Oh, you can't help that. Most everyone's mad here.
You may have noticed that I'm not all there myself.

Thats really interesting about the Native Americans. I didn't know that. I can add that to my collection of Tree of Life knowledge.

And thank you for the compliment ^_^. This is only the second painting I've ever done.

You did a very good job, considering it's only your second.
